Office Choice welcomes Ben Thompson, who has just joined the National Support team assuming the role of Purchasing Officer.
Ben will assist Andrew Wilson with all purchasing related matters including catalogue submissions, price files, and general administration.
Ben has wasted no time getting up and running and many members will already have spoken to Ben, as he has quickly established himself as the ‘go to’ person regarding price files.
With several years of experience in the purchasing field, including a purchasing role at a newsagency supplies group over a 6 year period, Ben’s transition into Office Choice has been very smooth. “I am really enjoying the friendly team environment at National Support Office - and the job is fantastic,” he said. On a personal note, Ben enjoys being out and about on weekends; “I love the footy and barrack for Essendon in the AFL, so with the season just starting I’m looking forward to seeing a few good matches.” Ben also plays guitar – both acoustic and electric. “In my younger days [Ben is only 32!], I used to play electric guitar in a rock band, but I don’t have as much time for it now as I used to.”
