Tonnex launch 5th year of Rewards program


February 1 brings about the launch of Tonnex International’s Reseller Rewards ME, the 5th installment of their Reseller Rewards program.

 
Since the initial launch of Reseller Rewards in February 2007 it has, according to National Marketing Manager, James Rendell been a huge success. “We launched the program with the core objective of increasing customer loyalty and enhancing our value proposition. Now as we prepare to launch the 5th program installment I can confidently say it has continued to achieve that objective year on year with increasing success”.

When asked about how the program fits into Tonnex’s value proposition; Rendell commented that “we have never seen this program as a band aid or a diversion. We are acutely aware of the importance of good customer service, competitive pricing and reliable deliveries and see the program as a thank you for our loyal customers. Sure, we use the program as a vehicle for our promotional activity, but never to replace our core services”.

This year Tonnex have gone with the program theme; Reseller Rewards ME with a catalogue cover full of photos of customers with their Reseller Rewards redemptions. “The program has always been about rewarding our customers and doing whatever we can to continue to add value to their Tonnex experience. Quite often I see photos of customers with their redemptions that they have sent in to their Account Manager, so when I saw just how many photos we were receiving, it made an obvious choice for this year’s campaign theme”.

Rendell commented that there will also be a range of new products added into this year’s catalogue that has not existed in previous years. “Each year we try and introduce a range of new products and this year our catalogue will also include Pet Accessories, Hampers, Bed & Bath, and a complete revamp of Personal Accessories with a wider range of handbags, sunglasses and watches”. With approximately 500 rewards available, Rendell is confident that there is something for everyone in this year’s program. “We are always looking for new products and new categories that will interest customers; whether it is the new iPhone, 3D TV’s or the new Bvlgari fragrance, we are always hunting around for things customers will want. We also get requests to source specific products such as a particular home theatre system, which is no problem either. Ultimately, it’s about rewarding our valued customers for their continued business, so we will do whatever we can to make their reward as enjoyable as possible”.

Rendell is confident that any Reseller has the capacity to quickly earn some great rewards. “The true success to any reward program lies initially in achievability. With our program, most customers have the capacity to make redemptions every few weeks. For example, our standard rate of points accrual is 2 points per dollar, so without any bonus points offers; a $5,000 monthly spend can get you a Sunbeam Popcorn Maker in under 5 weeks, a $10,000 monthly spend can get you a Bosch Angle Grinder in under 4 weeks, a $20,000 monthly spend can get you a 100ml Versace fragrance in under 2 weeks, a $30,000 monthly spend can get you a dozen wines with a wine rack in under 3 weeks, a $50,000 monthly spend can get you a Nintendo DSi XL in under 3 weeks and a $100,000 monthly spend can get you an LG 42” HD Plasma in under 4 weeks. From these examples alone you can see just how quickly any customer can start to earn some amazing rewards”.

Tonnex find that there is also an increasing trend of redemptions for special occasions. “We focus on having a wide range of seasonal reward items to help customers use the program for their personal shopping. We promote the popular items to customers approximately 4 weeks prior to the seasonal period to allow them to make their redemption and have it sent in plenty of time. So whether it’s fragrances for Valentines Day, gym equipment coming into summer or kids’ toys for Christmas we do see a significant spike in redemptions for items that match the upcoming seasonal period”.

Tonnex have again teamed up with long time program partners; HP, Brother & Epson who are again on-board for 2011. “We are very grateful to again have the support of HP, Brother & Epson who help make this program possible” said Rendell.

There are now over 1,500 members registered on the program who will all be receiving a copy of the new Reseller Rewards ME catalogue in late January, with the on-line catalogue going live on the 1st of February.
