Clean Factory

As our factory is located in the town of Bűhl, at the foot of the Black Forest and in the heart of the wine industry, it is imperative that we be safe and clean. Therefore, UHU are consistently striving to lower our solvent and CO2 emissions, while reducing waste and water consumption. As a result, we have managed to achieve an industry best, low level of solvent emissions. UHU has also managed to recycle around 50% of all waste generated in our facility and re-use water for cooling within the factory, significantly lowering the intake of fresh water used by UHU.

Innovative Packaging

Almost 20 years ago, UHU implemented the ‘green dot system’ on its packaging. This dot represents our collaboration with the European network for recycling consumer goods packaging. All packaging materials used for UHU products are recyclable……and in addition, UHU also uses recycled packaging materials. All unit boxes and blister cards used are made from more than 90% recycled cardboard, and the PET blister covers are made from over 80% recycled PET….

At UHU, it is important to share the best ways to use the products with consumers – be it for hobby and creative activities, home improvement or school use. The UHU website uhu.com provides all consumers with an interactive ‘glue advisor’ which answers all questions and technical matters relating to gluing. Because, in the end...repairing something, with the help of glue, naturally helps to avoid waste!
