Backed by technology from its parent company Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC), Verbatim Australia demonstrated its growing portfolio of LED and OLED products at SPARC. Designed to enhance the quality and experience of light while reducing lighting’s impact on the environment, Verbatim’s product line includes a range of energy efficient LED retrofit lamps, high colour rendering LED components and solutions and colour tunable OLED panels.
Verbatim retrofit LED lamps are designed as high quality, energy efficient replacements for incandescent and halogen lamps, providing clear, uniform light distributions. Ideal for commercial and residential applications, Verbatim LED lamps can reduce energy consumption by over 70%. And with lifetimes up to 40,000 hrs, replacement and maintenance costs are drastically reduced. Verbatim retrofit LED lamps are available in popular sizes and warm colour temperatures to duplicate the experience of traditional lamps. Backed by Mitsubishi Kagaku Media’s quality control and industry leading warranties, Verbatim’s retrofit LED product line follows Verbatim’s motto: “Technology You Can Trust”.
Also being demonstrated at SPARC were Verbatim’s VxRGB™ LED lighting products, utilising MCC violet chip technology. VxRGB™ products were designed to replicate natural light by using violet LED chips exciting red, blue and green phosphors and other MCC materials to enable high quality comfortable lighting environments. Available in modules and custom lighting solutions, Verbatim violet chip products offer all of the energy saving advantages of traditional LED lighting, plus the additional features of high colour rendering index (CRI), enhanced colour appearance and white colour tunability at constant output flux.
SPARC served as the first Australian viewing of Verbatim OLED (Organic LED) products, which promise a paradigm shift in lighting design. Based on unique materials technology developed by MCC, Verbatim colour OLED panels (branded VELVE™) convey a sense of rich, yet soft and deep lighting. Verbatim VELVE™ OLED panels (measuring approximately 14cm x 14cm) can create comfortable living spaces via unique features including RGB colour tunability, white colour tuning, 0~100% dimming at any colour and high CRI. Slated for mass production in July 2011, Verbatim VELVE™ OLED panels were available as a sample kit to lighting designers and as modules for OEM manufacturers.
